Gateway Gradings!

Today at Litherland Sports Park two students did their gateway grading for Blue Belt (3rd Kyu).
A gateway (or mon) grading allows to student to progress in steps towards a full kyu (student) belt.

Sensei Jane Saunders and Shihan Peter Smith presented Sophie and Olivia with their grading certificate. A red tab was also placed on their belts to show that the next grading exam they have will be a full blue belt (3rd Kyu).
Thank you to Graham, Lindsey, Ben and Isla for making sure the gradings were a success.
The club's grappling dummy, Samurai Sam, also took part in the grading.
