Today at Litherland Sports Park two students did their gateway grading for Blue Belt (3rd Kyu). A gateway (or mon) grading allows to student to progress in steps towards a full kyu (student) belt. At the dojo in Litherland Sports Park four of the club's juniors took gradings on Saturday 9 March. Bobby completed his 7th Kyu and was presented with his certificates by Shihan Peter Smith. Senior student Logan took his grading exam for his 4th Kyu at the Bootle Dojo on Wednesday 13 February. Lindsey and Jack were his uke (training partners) during the grading. On Monday 21 January two of the club's under 18 students took their black belt gradings. Shihan Peter Smith was the mat master who presented the students to examiner Sensei Jane Saunders. Saturday 15 December was busy! The Rhino colouring was completed. Grading certificates were presented. A Kumite (sparring) competition was held. Andy Wiggins was presented with his completed Brown Belt (1st Kyu Certificates) at the Bootle Dojo on Wednesday 22 August. Shihan Smith and Sensei Saunders presented Andy with the certificates.
